Ecological Movement announces four additional candidates for 2026 parliamentary elections
The Ecological Movement – Citizens' Cooperation has announced four new candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for May 2026. The new additions include Katerina Violari Spyrou and Christos Iosifidis for the Larnaca district, alongside Maria Kridi and Olga Korobintseva for the Limassol district. This announcement is part of an ongoing process to finalize the party's electoral lists across the Republic of Cyprus. According to the party, the final candidate list will be submitted for approval to the Pan-Cyprian Conference once the Provincial Assemblies conclude their internal procedures. Detailed biographies for the candidates were released, highlighting their professional backgrounds in various sectors such as insurance, hospitality, and education. Katerina Violari Spyrou, a Larnaca native, holds a Master’s degree from Brunel University London and works in the insurance industry. She is also noted for her contributions to sports as the founder of the Cyprus Blackball Federation. The movement emphasizes that its candidates come from diverse social and professional backgrounds to address issues of sustainable development and social policy.
