Cyprus records 3.75% economic growth for 2025 following strong fourth quarter

The Cyprus Statistical Service and Eurostat reported that the Cypriot economy grew by 3.75% over the full year of 2025. In the fourth quarter of 2025, GDP increased by 4.5% compared to the same period in 2024 and 1.4% compared to the third quarter of 2025. Finance Minister Makis Keravnos stated on February 13, 2026, that these figures exceeded previous ministry and international forecasts, which ranged between 2.9% and 3.5%. According to Eurostat, Cyprus's annual growth rate was the highest among member states with available data, significantly exceeding the Eurozone average of 1.3%. Keravnos also highlighted that inflation has reached near-zero levels and the government maintains surplus budgets while reducing public debt. Employment in the Eurozone and EU showed modest quarterly increases of 0.2% during the same period.
