Cyprus Police install POS terminals at 24 locations island-wide
The Cyprus Police have installed point-of-sale (POS) terminals at 24 locations across the island to facilitate card payments for citizens. At the Police Headquarters, terminals are now available at the Traffic department, the Criminal Records Office (CRO), Immigration, Firearms, and the Accounts department. Across the districts of Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos, and Famagusta, as well as the Morphou division, POS terminals have been placed at all Provincial Police Directorates. These include accounts offices and firearms offices. Additionally, terminals have been installed at the Polis Chrysochous and Kato Pyrgos police stations. Payments via these terminals will only be processed during the specific operating hours of the cashiers. The police stated that this initiative is part of an ongoing effort to modernize services and improve public convenience. This move aims to streamline administrative transactions that previously required cash payments.
