Aradippou Municipality participates in first EU Network of Local Councillors meeting in Nicosia
On February 9, the first official meeting of the European Union Network of Local Councillors (EULC) in Cyprus took place at the Nicosia Town Hall. The event was held as part of the external meeting of the Bureau of the European Committee of the Regions. Nikolas Karoullas, Chairman of the Aradippou Municipality Youth Committee, represented the municipality and assessed the results as positive. The meeting focused on the priorities of the upcoming Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU and the dialogue between local and European institutions. A central theme was the impact of EU decisions under the proposed Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034 on the daily lives of citizens. Karoullas emphasized that the EULC aims to bridge the gap between European partners and local communities. The discussions highlighted the importance of local government involvement in shaping and implementing European policies. The participation of the Youth Committee underscores Aradippou's commitment to strengthening the voice of young people in European developments.
