AKEL Limassol MP Costas Costa has dismissed rumors regarding a potential political alliance with the Alma Movement following a social media photo posted on Tsiknopempti. The image featured Costa alongside the head of the Alma Movement, Odysseas Michaelides, and journalist Sakis Stylianou with the caption 'something is cooking.' Despite public speculation of a political 'transfer,' Costa clarified that the meeting was purely social and held no political subtext. He reiterated his decision, first announced in September, not to seek re-election because he has reached the term limit set by AKEL and does not qualify for an exception. Costa revealed that he has faced significant pressure from the public and various political parties to run as an independent candidate or join other ballots. However, he confirmed he has rejected all offers and plans to find private sector employment to support his family once his current term concludes.
