Artistic workshops on the perception of Cyprus held in Nicosia

The cultural center Phaneromenis70 in downtown Nicosia is hosting a series of workshops titled Wandering & Wondering throughout February. These sessions are led by artists Irini Georgiades, Llucia Monferrer, and Jamila Schabbing. The program is part of the Delivering Views/Texts initiative, which focuses on personal narratives and the foreign gaze on Cyprus. Participants are invited to contribute their stories and perspectives through writing and collective exchange to explore the meaning of living in Cyprus. The workshops approach the island as a point of passage, examining how perceptions are shaped by social narratives and interactions with the environment. While the first two sessions have already concluded, two more are scheduled for the remainder of the month. On February 16, a guided writing session titled The Reflect will focus on memory and imagination. The final session, Share, will take place on February 22, where participants will write and record personal letters to Cyprus. Admission to all sessions is free and open to the general public.
