Police identify suspect in Nicosia supermarket cat disappearance case

Cyprus police have identified a female suspect linked to the disappearance of cats from the exterior of a supermarket in Latsia, Nicosia. The investigation began following a formal complaint filed by a citizen on January 25, who first noticed the animals were missing. Evidence from closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed a person placing cages outside the store to trap at least one cat. The footage then recorded the suspect placing the trapped animal into a vehicle. Authorities confirmed that the woman has been located and is expected to be summoned for questioning soon.
