Brussels event highlights communication role ahead of Cyprus EU Presidency
The Cyprus Communication Agencies Association (SDEK) and the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) co-organized an event in Brussels focusing on communication and advertising in modern Europe. The gathering took place on the occasion of Cyprus's upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union. SDEK President Konstantinos Daltas emphasized that the presidency is a substantial responsibility to contribute to EU cohesion and resilience amidst geopolitical challenges. Daltas also noted Cyprus's unique sensitivity to peace and international law issues due to the ongoing consequences of invasion and occupation. MEP Michalis Hadjipantelas expressed his support for the association's efforts during the event. Additionally, MEP Costas Mavrides stressed the necessity of reliable communication for effective governance and Europe's global role. The initiative aimed to promote the Cypriot communication and advertising sector at a European level.
