Neftchi Baku signs Brazilian midfielder Breno Almeida from Ethnikos Achna

Neftchi Baku has officially announced the acquisition of 27-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder Breno Almeida from the Cypriot club Ethnikos Achna. Almeida has signed a contract for two and a half years with the Azerbaijani side. During the current season, which began in the summer of 2024, the player recorded three goals and five assists in 14 official appearances for Ethnikos. According to the press representative of Ethnikos Achna, the transfer agreement satisfied all parties after Neftchi initially withdrew an offer before returning to finalize the deal. Ethnikos is also preparing for a home match against APOEL this coming Sunday, despite dealing with several absences. Key players Gonzalez and Luis Felipe are suspended, while two or three others are currently being evaluated for injuries.
