Second suspect arrested for extortion and robbery of delivery driver in Limassol

Limassol authorities have arrested a second 20-year-old suspect in connection with the robbery and extortion of a 24-year-old food delivery driver. The incident occurred on the evening of February 8 in the Ypsonas area following a motorcycle collision between the victim and another driver. After the crash, the other motorcyclist allegedly assaulted the victim and demanded monetary compensation for damages. Several other individuals arrived at the scene, joined the assault, and pressured the driver for money. The suspects reportedly stole the victim's mobile phone and a sum of cash before fleeing. The delivery driver was treated at a hospital for his injuries and discharged the same night. A Limassol court has remanded the second suspect for seven days, while a previously arrested 20-year-old remains in eight-day custody. Police continue to search for four additional suspects whose photographs were released earlier this week.
