Israeli settlers destroy 15 Palestinian homes near Jericho in West Bank

On February 10, 2026, approximately 50 Israeli settlers destroyed 15 Palestinian homes and a livestock shelter in the village of Al-Duyuk al-Tahta near Jericho. Residents reported that the group, mostly masked and armed, forced families out of their dwellings before demolishing or severely damaging them. According to local witnesses Mustafa and Bassam Kabna, personal belongings and livestock were also seized during the incident. Witnesses stated that an Israeli military vehicle accompanied the settlers initially, followed by a piece of heavy machinery used for the demolition. One property owner, Abu Audi al-Rajabi, noted that no official demolition orders had been issued by Israeli authorities prior to the event. The village is located in Area C, which remains under Israeli administrative control according to the Oslo Accords. When contacted by Agence France-Presse, the Israeli military declined to comment on the reports. Local residents were seen salvaging possessions from the rubble the following day.
