Cyprus Theatre Organisation announces auditions for Euripides' Ion

The Cyprus Theatre Organisation (THOC) has announced a call for auditions for its upcoming summer production of Euripides' Ion, directed by Thomas Moschopoulos. Professional male and female actors who are graduates of drama schools are invited to apply regardless of age. Candidates must possess strong skills in singing and movement, while the ability to play a musical instrument is considered a significant asset. Interested applicants must submit their CV and a recent photograph via email to auditions@thoc.org.cy by February 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The director and the creative team will select participants for the audition phase based on their credentials. The first phase of auditions is scheduled for March 6 and 7, 2026, followed by a second phase on March 8 and 9, 2026. Employment for selected actors is expected to occur from mid-April to July 2026 and again from late August to early September 2026. According to THOC board regulations, actors are prohibited from participating in more than one production if there is a scheduling overlap to ensure artistic quality.
