First semi-final of Sing for Greece 2026 held in Athens

The first semi-final of the Sing for Greece 2026 national selection contest took place on Wednesday, February 11, at the Piraeus 260 venue in Athens. A total of 14 songs were presented to determine which artists would move forward to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. The artist Akylas performed the song "Ferto" in the fourth slot, appearing as a character from a childhood game in a black outfit with orange dots and orange furry boots. Accompanied by four dancers, he is currently considered a betting favorite for the competition. Another prominent participant, Evangelia, performed her song "Parea" with a flamenco-themed presentation alongside four dancers dressed in black. Evangelia previously reached the top two in the national final last year with the song "Vale."
