President Erdogan hosts dinner for Prime Minister Mitsotakis with Turkish-inspired menu
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hosted a formal dinner for Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis following their joint diplomatic statements. The menu consisted of a variety of dishes deeply inspired by traditional Turkish gastronomy. The meal began with appetizers such as artichokes in curry sauce, çiğ köfte, tulum cheese, and Imam Bayildi eggplant. Additional starters included cabbage rolls with chestnuts, pirohi with kes cheese and walnuts, and Aegean greens. A garden salad featuring purslane and a lemon sorbet dressing was also served to the guests. The main course featured beef ribs accompanied by saffron-almond pilaf and grilled asparagus. The meat selection further included Urfa kebab and lamb chops. For dessert, a bitter almond and pineapple parfait was served alongside a selection of Turkish sweets like walnut baklava and pistachio rolls.
