Panathinaikos signs Nigel Hayes-Davis to a 2.5-year deal
Panathinaikos BC AKTOR officially announced the signing of American forward Nigel Hayes-Davis on February 12, 2026. The 31-year-old athlete agreed to a 2.5-year contract valued at approximately $10 million (€8.42 million) through the summer of 2028. Reports indicate he will earn $3 million for the remainder of the current season and $3.5 million annually for the following two seasons. The signing follows a brief stint in the NBA where Hayes-Davis was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks on February 6. Club owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos confirmed the deal via social media, reportedly outbidding Hapoel Tel Aviv and Fenerbahce. Hayes-Davis, the 2025 EuroLeague Final Four MVP, joins a roster that now features three recent EuroLeague MVPs, including Kostas Sloukas and Kendrick Nunn. The team is reportedly continuing its search for a center to complete the roster.
