Vítor Pereira appointed as Nottingham Forest manager following Sean Dyche's dismissal
Nottingham Forest officially announced the appointment of Vítor Pereira as their new head coach on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The 57-year-old Portuguese manager signed a contract for one and a half years, lasting until the summer of 2027. Pereira replaces Sean Dyche, who was dismissed following a 0-0 draw against Wolves on February 11. This appointment marks the club's fourth managerial change of the 2025/26 season, following the earlier departures of Nuno Espírito Santo and Ange Postecoglou. Reports indicate that Nottingham Forest has spent over €18 million on severance packages this season alone. Specifically, Dyche and Nuno received approximately €6.8 million each, while Postecoglou received between €4.5 million and €4.7 million. Currently, the team sits in 17th place in the Premier League, just three points above the relegation zone. Pereira returns to the bench after a three-month absence since leaving Wolves in late 2025. He previously worked under owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos in 2015, where he won the domestic double.
