Shooting at technical college in Anapa leaves one dead and several injured
A 17-year-old student opened fire at a technical college in Anapa, Krasnodar region, on the southern coast of Russia's Black Sea. The attacker, identified by local media as Ilya, reportedly used a hunting rifle stolen from a relative. The school's security guard was killed after preventing the gunman from entering further into the building and alerting the authorities. Conflicting reports state that between two and three other individuals were injured during the incident. The suspect was arrested on-site by Rosgvardiya officers following the confrontation in the foyer. Authorities discovered a social media post by the suspect stating there would be "no innocents today." Unconfirmed reports suggest a motive related to a failed bribe for an early diploma, though classmates described the shooter's behavior as previously normal. The Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation into the shooting.
