Evripides Frangou completes DISY candidate list for Larnaca district

Evripides Frangou has officially announced his candidacy for the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Larnaca district representing the Democratic Rally (DISY). The 24-year-old private sector employee and host of the 'FireProof Mentality' podcast completes the party's six-member ballot for the region. Frangou gained significant public attention in 2022 following a severe injury sustained during fan riots at the 'Antonis Papadopoulos' stadium. While reports vary on whether he was walking his dog or attempting to help a fellow citizen, all sources confirm he was a bystander and not a participant in the violence. Since his recovery, he has focused his public platform on raising awareness against youth violence and promoting collective responsibility. His inclusion follows the earlier announcement of candidate Argyros Evangelou. The finalized DISY list for Larnaca now includes party president Annita Demetriou, Stalo Voniatis, Andria Manoli, Prodromos Alambritis, Argyros Evangelou, and Evripides Frangou. The party's only remaining candidacy vacancy is reportedly in the Paphos district.
