Tottenham Hotspur dismisses manager Thomas Frank following home defeat to Newcastle
Tottenham Hotspur has dismissed head coach Thomas Frank following a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday, February 10. The 52-year-old Danish manager was appointed in June on a three-year contract to replace Ange Postecoglou after a successful period at Brentford. During his tenure, the club struggled significantly in the Premier League, recording seven wins, eight draws, and eleven losses. Tottenham currently sits in 16th place with 29 points, just five points above the relegation zone. The team has failed to win any of its last eight league matches and was eliminated from both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. However, the club performed well in the Champions League, finishing in the top eight of the league phase. The board decided to terminate the partnership after the latest loss at North London exacerbated fears of relegation. A search for a new head coach is currently underway to lead the team for the remainder of the season.
