Famagusta hoteliers report positive booking trends for 2024 summer season
Panagiotis Constantinou, president of the Famagusta Hoteliers Association (PASYXE), stated that booking flows for the upcoming summer season starting in April are encouraging. Most hotels in the district are expected to resume operations at that time following a traditionally slow post-Christmas period. Key markets showing high demand include the United Kingdom, Poland, Israel, Scandinavia, and Central European nations such as Germany and Switzerland. Despite the optimistic outlook, the sector remains cautious due to ongoing geopolitical instability in the Middle East, specifically regarding Iran. Promotional efforts include a targeted digital marketing campaign focused on both primary and secondary markets. A delegation will attend the Belgrade tourism exhibition from February 19 to 22. Furthermore, a larger group involving local municipalities, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, and Hermes Airports will participate in the ITB Berlin fair from March 3 to 5.
