Justice Minister offers three options for Annie Alexoui to submit testimony
Cyprus Minister of Justice and Public Order, Kostas Fytiris, has outlined three institutional ways for Ioanna Fotiou, also known as Annie Alexoui, to submit her testimony and evidence. The first option is for her to testify directly to the police in Cyprus, though she has rejected this due to 13 outstanding warrants and safety concerns. The second option involves providing a statement abroad to a Cypriot delegation, subject to coordination between the Police and the Legal Service. The third option allows her to submit a written complaint and evidence through her lawyer directly to the Minister. Fytiris emphasized that allegations made on social media cannot be legally substantiated and urged a formal process to advance the investigation. In response, Alexoui stated she would proceed with the third option via her lawyer in Cyprus, citing the Minister's potential sincerity as her primary motivation. She expressed significant distrust toward authorities, claiming they aim to discredit her, and noted she would maintain a defensive stance while holding evidence to protect her reliability. The Minister also mentioned that legal mechanisms could be used to manage the existing warrants during the investigative process.
