Akylas wins Greek national final for Eurovision 2026

On February 15, Akylas won the 'Sing for Greece 2026' national final with the song 'Ferto,' securing his place at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. He received a total of 48 points, earning the maximum 12 points from both the Greek and international juries, as well as winning the public vote. The final featured 14 contestants and was hosted by Giorgos Kapoutzidis, Betty Maggira, and Katerina Vrana at the Piraeus 260 venue. Good Job Nicky finished in second place with 33 points, followed by Marseaux in third with 32 points. The scoring system combined public televoting (50%) with the evaluations of two professional juries (25% each). Akylas, a 25-year-old artist from Serres, had been the betting favorite throughout the selection process. The event was broadcast by ERT and directed by Fokas Evangelinos, following two semi-finals where sound quality issues were noted by viewers.
