Olympiacos negotiates contract renewal with Ayoub El Kaabi
Olympiacos FC is in advanced negotiations to renew the contract of 32-year-old Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi. While some reports suggest his current deal expires in the summer of 2024, others state it runs until 2026 following a previous extension. The club's new proposal is reportedly worth approximately €3 million annually including bonuses, an increase from his current earnings of €2.5 million. Minor discrepancies remain regarding the contract length, as El Kaabi seeks a guaranteed three-year deal while the club prefers a 2+1 year structure. The player's representative is expected in Greece next week for final discussions, coinciding with upcoming European competition matches. Despite interest from other European and Arab clubs, both the player and the administration have expressed a mutual desire to continue their partnership. El Kaabi has been a key contributor this season, recording 16 goals in 26 appearances.
