Civilian casualties reported following strikes in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions
On February 10, 2026, Russian forces launched guided aerial bomb (KAB) attacks on Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. Local authorities reported that a woman and her 11-year-old daughter were killed when a private residence was struck. At least eight others were injured in Sloviansk, including a 7-year-old girl, amid significant damage to residential buildings. In a separate incident on February 11, a Russian strike on Bohodukhiv, located west of Kharkiv, killed four people. The victims included three children aged one and two, as well as a 34-year-old man, while a 74-year-old woman sustained injuries. Pro-Russian officials in the Zaporizhzhia region also claimed that two individuals were killed by Ukrainian forces within the same 24-hour period. According to the UN Monitoring Mission, approximately 15,000 Ukrainians have died since the start of the invasion in 2022, with 2025 marked as the deadliest year. Concurrently, Ukraine's energy grid is under severe strain, leading to calls for citizens to limit electricity use during peak hours.
