Archbishop: What he said about the new church charter – When it will be ready

Archbishop George of Cyprus announced that the Church's new Charter is expected to be finalized shortly after Easter. A specialized committee comprising members of the Holy Synod and three academics is currently drafting the revised regulations. The project aims to simplify administrative procedures and improve the overall efficiency of the Church's operations. Once the Charter is complete, the process for electing the new Metropolitan of Paphos will proceed as a priority. The Archbishop clarified that the amendments cover a broad range of issues beyond just the electoral process. Additionally, he noted that matters regarding Bishop Tychikos are no longer under the direct jurisdiction of the Holy Synod.
