Batches of infant products withdrawn due to potential presence of cereulide
The Health Services of the Ministry of Health have announced the withdrawal of additional batches of infant formula from the Cypriot market. This recall follows concerns over the potential presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the microorganism Bacillus cereus. New batches of Aptamil 1 and Almiron Pronutra 2 have been added to the existing list of recalled products after a notification from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF). Consumers are strictly advised not to use the mentioned batches for infant nutrition and to return them to the point of purchase. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter, particularly regarding products that may have been purchased through online stores or parallel trade. An updated list of affected products and batch numbers is accessible through the official Nestlé website for consumer verification.
