When Aris gave its jerseys to Anorthosis
During the celebrations for its 115th anniversary, Anorthosis honored Aris Limassol for a historic act of sportsmanship. Former player Stefanos Lysandrou recalled a match in December 1975 against Apollon where both teams shared the same kit color. As a refugee club with limited resources, Anorthosis lacked a second kit and faced a potential forfeit. Aris Limassol stepped in by lending their own jerseys, allowing the match to proceed on the field. Anorthosis went on to win the game 3-1, creating a lasting bond between the two clubs. The event also highlighted Aris's more recent financial support during the club's campaign for survival.
